Our stores are upbeat, and our business is growing. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, is dynamic, self-motivated and experienced retail professional who is passionate about delivering world class customer service and driving business growth.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Foster a positive work environment and culture that encourages team collaboration, open communication and where all team members feel included, valued and motivated to give their best.
  • Building effective relationships with store team, leaders and peers to develop a high performing team.
  • Manage and develop the store team through weekly performance discussions, on the job coaching and training, providing performance recognition, and managing poor work performance where necessary.
  • Driving sales and profits by motivating the store team to meet sales objectives through the training and mentoring of staff.
  • Ensuring that the store consistently achieves or exceeds KPIs and profitability goals.
  • Guarantee high standards of customer experience within the store in accordance with FOM mission and customer service standards.
  • Undertaking store administration duties such as staff scheduling and keeping filling up to date.
  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering items from the warehouse when necessary.
  • Ensure that visual merchandise standards are maintained to create an extraordinary shopping experience for our customers.
  • Implement, manage and monitor loss prevention strategies, training and creating awareness amongst store team.
  • Ensuring store compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain world class store standards and visual merchandising as per the FOM visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Cost management by effectively managing store budgets and expenses.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

What you bring:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • 3+ years of retail or equivalent management experience.
  • Have the ability to promote sales and overall profitability goals.
  • A strong ability to plan, lead, organise and control.
  • Being committed to building a strong competent team who will be dedicated to providing an excellent customer experience.
  • Love working with people and commit to creating a positive and energetic culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Sound PC-skills, MS-office Knowledge, and Outlook.
  • Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, public holidays and over the festive season.
