Freedom of Movement is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to join our executive leadership team. This role is responsible for developing and executing impactful marketing strategies that strengthen brand awareness, drive revenue growth, and expand market share.
Working closely with the Chief Creative Officer, you will identify market opportunities, analyse customer behaviour, and lead the development of compelling brand storytelling across all channels. You will ensure that Freedom of Movement’s brand identity is consistently elevated and expressed across every touchpoint; from campaigns and content to retail and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Brand Growth
- Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with company objectives and revenue growth targets.
- Lead market, customer, and competitor research using a data-driven approach to inform marketing and product strategies.
- Translate insights into effective campaigns that drive brand awareness and sales performance.
- Monitor campaign performance and continuously optimise marketing initiatives.
Brand Storytelling & Creative Direction
- Lead the conceptualisation and execution of compelling storytelling strategies from concept to launch.
- Drive the development of brand content and marketing materials across all platforms.
- Guide the creative direction of the brand, ensuring alignment with Freedom of Movement’s identity, values, aesthetic and target audience.
- Oversee the production of visual content including photoshoots, campaigns and organic brand content.
Content & Creative Production
- Manage the development of ongoing organic content across digital platforms.
- Partner with agencies, freelancers and brand ambassadors to bring fresh creative perspectives to the brand.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Retail teams to develop campaigns, launches and brand initiatives.
Digital Marketing Leadership
- Lead the company’s digital marketing function and oversee all digital platforms including social media, email marketing and e-commerce.
- Oversee website design, functionality and performance to ensure best-in-class e-commerce experiences.
- Develop and execute the company’s social media strategy.
- Manage paid media campaigns across digital platforms.
- Work closely with digital agencies to optimise marketing performance and drive measurable results.
Brand Identity & Visual Consistency
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the brand’s corporate identity.
- Ensure consistent application of brand identity across packaging, labels, marketing collateral and digital platforms.
- Collaborate on packaging and product labelling design to ensure alignment with brand aesthetics.
- Develop and maintain in-store visual communication and marketing collateral.
Partnerships & Brand Collaborations
- Develop and manage brand collaboration and partnership initiatives.
- Lead the Freedom of Movement ambassador programme and maintain key relationships.
- Manage communication, product launches and content expectations with ambassadors and partners.
Business Partnership & Performance
- Act as a strategic business partner across the organisation.
- Stay informed of industry trends and bring innovative ideas to the business.
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Track, analyse and report on marketing performance and ROI.
Additional Responsibilities
- Oversee the company’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives and identify new opportunities for community impact.
- Manage public relations activities and agency partnerships where applicable.
- Oversee traditional marketing initiatives and brand activations.
- Maintain strong financial oversight through budget management and cost control.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Design or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification will be advantageous.
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in marketing with a proven track record of successful strategy development and execution across traditional and digital channels.
- 3+ years’ experience in a senior marketing leadership role managing teams across multiple marketing functions.
- Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop teams.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven mindset with strong experience using marketing analytics and performance metrics.
- Strong creative and strategic thinking ability.
- Exceptional project management and organisational skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
