We’re a close-knit group of Buyers managing a wide and diverse product portfolio, and with our exciting growth, we’re ready to welcome additional buying support. We’re looking for a versatile, passionate, and innovative Ladies Footwear Buyer to help take our products to the next level.

Ideally, you’ll have exposure to retail and footwear buying processes, a strong passion for product, a willingness to learn, and a proactive, can-do attitude. Our ideal candidate isn’t limited by convention, instead, they bring creative and strategic thinking, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment without heavy reliance on advanced systems or rigid structures.

This is not your typical Buying role. It’s a unique opportunity to pioneer, innovate, and make your mark with one of South Africa’s most sought-after premium brands.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Assisting in the formulation of seasonal strategies based on trade, market trends and guidance from the design team
  • Assist the Buyers to conceptualize, build and deliver balanced and exciting ladies footwear ranges to the FOM customer
  • Source new suppliers (international and local) and build meaningful long-term relationships
  • Critical path understanding and implementation thereof
  • Supply chain management across a variety of manufacturing countries
  • Collaborate with QA to deliver high quality premium products to the SA market
  • Work closely with the planning team to analyze sales, effectively manage OTB, and continuously drive growth through innovation
  • Provide input to the marketing team to ensure optimal merchandising strategy in stores and online
  • Buying-related administrative support

What you bring

  • Minimum 3 year’s experience in a retail environment
  • Knowledge of retail buying processes
  • Strong business acumen and merchant thinking
  • Problem solver with critical thinking mindset
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, ability to prioritise and maximise productivity
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Keen to take initiative and drive change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
