We're on the hunt for a dynamic Regional Manager ready to steer and elevate our retail empire across various locations in a designated region. What will you be responsible for?
Team leadership & people management
- Lead a high-performing store team, including store managers and brand ambassadors, aligned with FOM's culture, values, and principles.
- Recruit, manage, and develop team members, including performance management and recognition initiatives.
- Set objectives, targets, and KPIs for the team, and assist in planning monthly schedules.
- Make annual recommendations to the Head of Retail on salary increases and incentive initiatives.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all store queries, requests, and issues.
Sales & trading performance
- Implement retail and store roll-out strategies.
- Monitor and enhance trading densities, and track product performance by store and category.
- Analyze regional sales trends and identify growth opportunities by category or location.
- Track individual store performance and guide store managers on improving sales results.
- Train and educate staff to meet sales targets, and address areas for improvement (including visual merchandising and staff training).
Stock, inventory & compliance
- Oversee at least one stock take per store monthly (or during outlying store visits), addressing and adjusting discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct weekly cash counts and verifications at each store.
- Ensure stores are well-stocked with essential supplies (bags, business cards, packaging materials).
- Analyze stock take results and regional performance metrics to identify trends and best practices.
Visual merchandising & marketing coordination
- Maintain product displays to Visual Merchandiser standards.
- Execute campaigns and in-store promotions as directed by marketing, and update marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications on regional brand compliance and campaign execution.
- Coordinate with marketing to keep store profiles, trading hours, and photos up to date.
Customer experience
- Maintain a consistent customer experience across all in-store touchpoints.
- Proactively address potential customer service issues to prevent escalation.
- Monitor and manage customer reviews and feedback; analyze customer service data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for customer service and complaint handling.
Reporting & administration
- Prepare and submit accurate, timely monthly and financial reports for the region, including:Sales targets reached
- Product performance (best sellers, slow movers)
- Trading densities and foot counts
- Stock discrepancies / theft
- Submit summarised monthly feedback per store covering improvements identified, recommendations, notable service/review highlights, staff development areas, and a plan of action for the month ahead.
- Manage and take part in ad hoc projects related to retail operations.
What you bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field from a recognized, reputable institution.
- 5+ years of retail experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and relationship-building.
- An analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Results-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve sales targets and operational excellence.
- A strategic thinker able to develop and execute effective business plans.
- Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering exceptional service and building loyalty.
- Adaptable and resilient, able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving retail environment.
- High ethical standards, with a commitment to honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Location: WC Stores and HQ, Unit 2 Harvest Park, Harvest Close, Richmond Industrial Precinct, Cape Town and stores
